Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 18, 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to flooring products and services provided by Casa Floors. By approving an estimate, signing an agreement, paying a deposit, or authorizing Casa Floors to begin work, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the applicable estimate, scope of work, these Terms & Conditions, and any additional project documents specifically incorporated into the agreement.

1. Estimates & Scope of Work

  • Estimates are based on the measurements, product selections, information, and site conditions reasonably available at the time the estimate is prepared.
  • Only labor, materials, services, and other items specifically identified in the approved estimate or written agreement are included in the project scope.
  • Changes requested by the customer or additional work required because of conditions discovered after work begins may result in additional charges.

2. Deposits & Payment

  • A deposit may be required before materials are ordered and/or the project is scheduled. The required deposit amount will be specified in the customer's estimate, invoice, or agreement and may vary depending on the project, materials, special-order products, and scope of work.
  • Materials will not be ordered and installation will not be scheduled until the required deposit has been received, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
  • The remaining balance is due upon substantial completion of Casa Floors' contracted scope unless different payment terms are stated in the applicable estimate or agreement.
  • Additional work, materials, repairs, or services outside the original approved scope may result in additional charges.

3. Measurements & Material Quantities

  • Flooring quantities may include additional material for cuts, waste, pattern matching, layout, manufacturer requirements, future repairs, or installation needs.
  • Actual material usage may differ from the net square footage of the rooms being covered.

4. Product Selection & Natural Variation

  • The customer is responsible for approving the flooring product, color, style, finish, and other selections before materials are ordered or installation begins.
  • Flooring products may exhibit variations in color, shade, grain, texture, pattern, gloss, knotting, or appearance. Such variations may be inherent characteristics of the flooring product and are not necessarily manufacturing or installation defects.
  • Samples, photographs, displays, and digital images may not perfectly represent the appearance of the installed flooring.

5. Scheduling & Material Availability

  • Installation dates and completion times are estimates unless specifically guaranteed in writing.
  • Schedules may be affected by material availability, shipping or delivery delays, manufacturer delays, site conditions, weather, change orders, unforeseen conditions, or other circumstances outside Casa Floors' reasonable control.
  • Casa Floors will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant scheduling changes.

6. Customer Preparation & Access

  • The customer is responsible for providing reasonable and safe access to the property and installation areas.
  • Before installation, customers should remove personal belongings, small furniture, decorations, electronics, breakable items, clothing, toys, and other objects that could interfere with installation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Closet floors and other installation areas should be reasonably cleared.
  • Reasonable parking and unloading access should be provided for installers, flooring materials, tools, and equipment.

7. Valuables, Firearms & Personal Property

Customers are responsible for removing or securely storing valuable, sensitive, fragile, or irreplaceable personal property before installation begins.

  • Cash, wallets, purses, and credit/debit cards
  • Jewelry and watches
  • Firearms, ammunition, and other weapons
  • Prescription medications
  • Passports, identification documents, financial records, and other important documents
  • Keys and access cards
  • Laptops, tablets, cameras, gaming systems, and electronics
  • Collectibles, artwork, antiques, and sentimental or irreplaceable items
  • Firearms, ammunition, and weapons must be safely secured and inaccessible to installation personnel before work begins.
  • Valuables should not be left inside furniture, drawers, closets, cabinets, boxes, or other areas that installers may need to access or move.
  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, Casa Floors is not responsible for loss, misplacement, disappearance, theft, or damage involving unsecured valuables or personal property left in or around the work area, except to the extent resulting from liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Furniture & Specialty Items

  • Furniture moving is included only when specifically stated in the estimate or agreement.
  • Oversized, fragile, unusually heavy, high-value, or specialty items may require removal or relocation by the customer or an appropriate third party.
  • Examples may include safes, pianos, pool tables, aquariums, exercise equipment, antiques, specialty furniture, and similar items.

9. Appliances, Plumbing, Gas & Electrical Connections

  • Appliance moving, disconnection, and reconnection are included only when specifically stated in the project scope.
  • Gas appliances, plumbing fixtures, water lines, electrical connections, toilets, and other specialty connections may require an appropriately qualified or licensed professional.
  • Casa Floors is not responsible for pre-existing leaks, deteriorated connections, valves, hoses, plumbing components, electrical components, or other conditions not caused by Casa Floors.

10. Pets, Children & Occupants

  • Customers are responsible for keeping pets, children, occupants, and visitors safely away from active installation areas, materials, tools, equipment, adhesives, and debris.
  • Pets must be securely contained away from installation and material-staging areas.
  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, Casa Floors is not responsible for pets escaping or entering work areas when they have not been properly secured by the customer.

  • Flooring requires an appropriate installation surface. Additional leveling, patching, grinding, moisture mitigation, plywood replacement, skim coating, or other preparation may become necessary after existing flooring is removed.
  • Subfloor preparation beyond the work specifically included in the approved estimate may be separately chargeable.

13. Dust, Noise & Construction Conditions

  • Flooring installation and removal are construction activities.
  • Customers should expect some degree of dust, noise, vibration, odors, debris, and temporary disruption.
  • Casa Floors and its installers will make reasonable efforts to maintain a clean work environment, but complete elimination of construction dust cannot be guaranteed.

14. Doors, Baseboards, Quarter Round & Trim

  • Existing baseboards, quarter round, transitions, and trim can become brittle or damaged during removal despite reasonable care. Successful removal and reuse of existing materials cannot be guaranteed.

15. Post-Installation Protection

  • Once Casa Floors has completed its contracted flooring work and the finished flooring has been turned over to the customer, the customer is responsible for protecting the flooring from subsequent activities.

  • This includes painters, plumbers, electricians, cabinet installers, countertop installers, appliance installers, movers, remodelers, general contractors, and other trades.
